Edale Rise is a school where everyone 'Takes Care'. We 'Take Care' of each other, ourselves, our work and our school and world. At Edale Rise, the Take Care ethos is lived throughout every aspect of our school day. From the way we speak to one another, to how we apply ourselves in lessons, ‘Take Care' is our core ethos.

The Take Care ethos is broken down into four key values:

We Take Care of Ourselves

This value focusses on self-care, self-respect and being the best versions of ourselves possible. It is about making the right decisions, making the most of every opportunity and presenting our best selves to the world at all times.

We Take Care of Each Other

This value focusses on relationships – how we relate to one another in our words and actions. It is about genuinely caring for one another by supporting each other and being upstanders when needed.

We Take Care of our School and Our World

This value focuses on community and sustainability. It is about how we as individuals can impact our environment, from the local to global level. It is about making informed decisions that have a positive impact on our environment.

We Take Care of Our Work

This value focusses on achievement. It is about making the most of every opportunity to improve as readers, artists, writers, scientists, mathematicians, orators, historians – it is about making every lesson in every subject count every single day.
